Split Spirits & Local Maverick Open New Location In Manchester, VT
Vermont is known for many things. Beautiful scenery, world-class skiing, friendly neighbors & the best maple syrup money can buy are just a few. People travel from all over New England, and quite frankly, from all over the world to experience a taste of Vermont. Why? Because people love Vermont. This state has so many unique things that it’s known for that people will travel from far & wide to experience Vermont.
It’s been said that Vermont is not only a state, but also a very successful “brand.” People gravitate towards products that are “Made in Vermont.” From cheese to beer & syrup to spirits, people can’t get enough of Vermont made products. It’s not just the scenery & the skiing that get people jonesing to drive north. Vermont is so well known for high quality, delicious & sustainably-made products that people will plan a whole trip just to get their hands on the good stuff.
So, with so many people traveling from all over to experience this beautiful state & try new, locally-made products, it would make sense to open a collaborative retail space that showcases the best of Vermont products, right?
Enter our new Tasting Room & Retail location in the heart of Manchester, Vermont’s vibrant downtown district. In collaboration with Local Maverick, this shared retail space will showcase products from many locally owned Vermont businesses, including JK Adams, Brio Coffee, Watson Wheeler Cider, Nu Chocolate & many more. Located at 96 Depot Street, below The Vermont Flannel Company & across from fellow Vermont brands Simon Pearce & Coco Goose, this central location will allow customers to get an authentic Vermont shopping experience where they can try locally made spirits, maple syrup, coffee, honey, cheese & a variety of local provisions.
“We wanted to open this shared retail space with Local Maverick for two reasons: 1) to give customers a one-stop-shopping experience where they can try all different kinds of Vermont made products & 2) to give our Vermont business partners a platform to share their unique story & get their products in front of new customers” - Will Drucker, owner of Split Spirits.
Over the next month (May 2025), we will be building out the space with Local Maverick in preparation for our soft opening at the beginning of June. We will be collaborating with our upstairs neighbor, The Vermont Flannel Company, for two Mother’s Day shopping events on Saturday May 3rd & the following Saturday May 10th. Our official Grand Opening of the space will be June 18th to 21st with special events every day:
Wednesday June 18th - Vermont Specialty Food Association gathering
Thursday June 19th - Manchester Business Association gathering
Friday June 20th - Launch Party for Edible Vermont’s Spring/Summer Issue
Saturday June 21st - Grand Opening Party
We are very excited to open this collaborative retail space to give customers a one-stop, authentic Vermont shopping experience, while also giving our local business partners the platform to get their products in front of new customers & tell the story of their brand. We are also excited to expand the footprint of Split Spirits to southern Vermont & share our sustainably-made spirits with new friends. Stay tuned on our social media for more information about the space. We hope to see you at our Mother’s Day shopping events!
